Wow, that’s really impressive! Congratulations on the project! :)

Question though, does it run special chip powered cartridges?

    • Super FX and DSPx: yes (as of my own testing). In general, as long as the special chip doesn’t do some weird memory mapping or data decoding, it should not be a problem. The few titles using the SA-1 and S-DD1, on the other hand, are pretty likely to cause serious trouble.

Damn that’s a bummer, how much did it cost again? Like over 1000 euros? Damn! I hope you can get some money back. At least so you can invest in some fine deutschland product ;)

    • It’s not that bad, just a few hundred EURs (well, that’s still a lot :-/). The superexpensive FCC testing won’t be necessary before the very day the snega2usb gets shipped.

    Hi,
here ist Deniz I wrote you a E-Mail when the SNEGA Name Contest was ;)
And I tried to help you with the SRAM thing.
    Man you are so fast!!
Could you say me where you ordered these Prototypes?
I hope this is “good” China Quality :D

Meh. I’m not too happy with the quality. So far, I have only tried 2 out of 5 fully assembled units, and one of them has problems with the wiring (interrupted connections from the microcontroller to the SEGA slot). In conclusion, you don’t want to know where I ordered these prototypes ;-)

        Hi,
thats why you should look for producing in Germany or in Europe even if its more expensive its better Quality ;)

This are looking great man, can’t wait to test these out when they get in production.
I have an extensive set of 64 SNES (NTSC-J/NTSC-U/PAL) and 33 Megadarive/Genesis games, this will definitely improve the speediness of my testing and the legitimacy of my ROMs, so I’ll let you know how each and every one of them goes when I get one of these babies. They’re looking great by the way.
