Today I received two cute little packages, and I thought I might as well share the contents with you:

| That little extra corner for PAL carts | Improved SEGA connectors |
So, things are going on – slowly but steadily. For my taste, the new SEGA connectors are still a little tighter than they need to be, but going through another iteration of samples would definitely take too long now. For the record, they’re not TOO tight, they just feel a little harder than the SNES ones.

Talking about Megadrive, Sunsoft published in Japan cartridges without rounded borders, not as usual japanese ones. AFAIK Tel-tel mahjong, Tel-tel stadium, Batman, Lemings and Fantasy zone.
Hey this is looking great but I think I have a bit of bad news (hopefully not) but I see you have the spacing for the mega drive to fit PAL games, this of course will allow you to place US games in as well but I think you’re forgetting the Japanese games which are wider still, I have a PAL system and they are too wide to fit in, so they might be too wide to fit in yours.
Interesting. I did not know that, after all there are lots of “standard shaped” games with US-EU-JP labels around. Can you give me details on the cart dimensions (in mm, if possible)?
I did some poor measurements with my tape measure and the edges from one side to the other are 107mm maybe add half a mm it is a game from telenet it can be found here
oh and the depth is about 16mm also maybe half a mm bigger
Hm. I got something like 109 and 17 mm using a calliper, so yours should fit completely inside that. But how about the corners – could it be that the Japanese carts simply don’t have these two extra grooves? This should be easy to account for.
Looking nice so far :D I cant wait to get my one but if it needs more time give it more time :)
Exciting! Don’t be afraid to delay it if you think it’s worth the difference in cartridge connector tension. Things look good so far!
