After fixing a memory mapping issue which affected Contra III and Krusty’s Super Fun House, we’re back at a reported 100.00% compatibility for SNES games! (opens a bottle of beer) On that occasion, I also fixed the wrong ROM size detection on Street Fighter 2 Turbo. Meanwhile, [JonY] pointed out a firmware bug, so the config file function will have to go through a major rewrite. Hope to get it done by the end of today. needed some hefty rewriting, but now works better than ever (including the possibility to revert individual parameters to factory default). Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go pick up some Atari adapters :D

I’d be interested in knowing whether 48 Mbit SNES games (like Tales of Phantasia) work.
I also seem to recall that games using the SA-1 chip (like Super Mario RPG) were very difficult to dump back in the day, though I can’t remember why… in any case, it’d be interesting to know if they work with the Retrode too.
Well… only one way to find out. You find my mailing address in the “Impressum” above. :D Though for the SA-1, the chances are fairly low.
EDIT: No luck for the SA-1, sorry!
Does the super game boy work?
Yes, but not the way you’d expect it to.
When testing Super Game Boy, did you try BSnes and its “Multi-part cartridge” feature (AKA “Load Special” under the “System” menu)? As I understand it, you give it the SGB ROM and a separate Game Boy ROM. It then uses the SGB ROM as a BIOS and uses an embedded Game Boy emulator for the actual game.
This might actually work, but certainly not with the GB cart sitting in the SGB. Via an adapter in the Genesis slot, perhaps.
Then how?
Exactly as described in the link.
yeah!!! now we need 32x compatibliltiy
That may be a bit of work. The 32x has BIOS files that would be needed, and that may affect the legality of this project.
That’s great news! But please add support for NES and PC Engine cards. I would like to play ALL of my old cartridges with the Retrode.
If you donate cartridges, there are chances (no guarantees) that some day they might be supported. My address can be found above (see “Impressum”)
NES support would be amazing! I got a little excited when the title said “We’ve got Contra”.
