On these pages, we are gathering step-by-step instructions to get you started with your new Retrode. If you are familiar with emulators and USB game controllers, you may not need this information. For all others, here are some example scenarios (work in progress). We assume that your Retrode is in factory condition. Most of the information given here can be combined to suit your needs — for instance, the configuration dialog of Kega Fusion for Windows is virtually identical to that under Linux.

Which emulator you choose, is mostly a matter of taste and availability. (Not all of them have been ported to all systems.)

Did you get your Retrode running under a different combination of operating system and/or emulators? Share it with other users by contributing to this page.

  • OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard), bsnes, Kega Fusion (in preparation)
